LOREAL Sublime Bronze self-tanning elixir review

Hey guys this post is a review on the new Loreal Paris self-tanning elixir.
I brought this product as it looked interesting and was on offer in boots. Even though it is summer I just don't have the patience to sit outside and tan so faking it is always a must for me. Once I purchased it I decided to look up its reviews. They were all bad. Thankfully I did look up the reviews otherwise my body would be in a right state right now. In the end I only decided to try it out on my legs.

Applying
So I had a shower before applying, I shaved my legs and exfoliated. Once out of the shower and my legs had dried off completely I used a tanning mitt to apply the product to both of my legs. So far so good. It states to have no self-tan smell and it was half right. The smell isn't as pigmented as actual self tan products but there was still a hint of the fake tan smell. The product also states that it dries quickly and I would have to agree as it only took 2-3 minutes before I got dressed (although I still would advise wearing dark colours I'm not sure how white would cope with this, don't risk it!). Another bonus was that it made my skin really soft.

Day 1
So I've had the product on my legs now for a couple of hours and I can smell a hint of fake tan although it was bearable (I hate the smell of fake tan). As the tan developed and the hours went by the smell got much worse and it was starting to annoy me.

Day 2
I woke up this morning with horrible streaks on my legs and it had gathered all around my ankles which is not a pretty sight. The smell is even worse now. The product states that you have to apply it for 3 consecutive days for a 2 week tan. After looking at my legs this morning I don't think I'll be applying the next layer anytime soon. Time for a shower to try and scrub this patchy tan off.

Product rating: 1/10

Sorry Loreal it just doesn't do what it says on the tin.

Some Of My Winter Essentials

As the weather gets even worse and the desire to go outside gets less and less I thought I would share with you a few of my winter must haves!

A glove set - These are essential in the colder months! I got these pair for Christmas and they are from Topshop. They are quite neutral colours so they go with basically all colours. They have a string attached to you can put them through your coat like everyone used to have when they were younger! Don't want to go losing your gloves now do you! Unfortunately they no longer have these on the website anymore but I have seen a few about in some stores... they might of even gone into the sales!

Maybelline baby lips - I also got this for Christmas from my flatmate and I am in love with it! Its perfect for dry lips but I feel that if you're looking for something to heal your lips I wouldn't go for this product as I feel its only useful for hydrating the lips. I have it in the colour Pink Rose and it leaves your lips looking a bit pinky-er than usual! If you're looking for something to heal and really hydrate your lips then I would go for a pot of Vaseline in the Cocoa Butter scent!

Benefit triple performing facial emulsion -  I use this every day at least once usually before I put my makeup on or when I get out of the bath! Its the best moisturiser I have had so far! It's easy to apply and is not really oily like some of the moisturisers that I've had in the past. Would totally recommend it!

A hat! - It is way too cold to go out without a hat on these days! I love this one from Peacocks as you can even wear it when your hair is up and it also doesn't give you hat hair... no one wants hat hair!

What I got for Christmas PART 2

I know Christmas has been and gone but I thought I would do the part 2 to my 'What I got for Christmas' post. The main thing that I was lucky enough to get this year was money to spend in the boxing day sales! Although this year I thought the sales sucked! I only bought one or two things that were in the sales! Very disappointing...
Anyway heres an outfit that I have created which I am in love with!

I have worn it a few times since boxing day already! As you probably know tartan is very in right now and when I saw this top from Dorothy Perkins I fell in love! I thought it would like nice with jeans, leggings, or... anything really! I've worn it on this occasion with a pair of high waisted jeans that I got from Primark. I brought a pair of these types of jeans a while ago from Topshop and I loved them, but they only lasted 2 months before they broke so I wasn't impressed! This time I decided to go for the cheaper version and for only 10 pounds so far there is nothing to complain about! To complete the look I added a necklace that I got for Christmas from Next and some basic black shoes, which I got a while back from New Look!

P.S
Sorry for the bad lighting and quality on some of the pictures, I know they show things to be different colours but yeah.. sorry guys!
