MY BIRTHDAY!

So I'm doing a personal post for you today...
It was my birthday at the end of last week so I haven't been able to post much recently. This is just a little post about what I got up to for my 20th and I promise a hair tutorial post up by the end of next week!
So the day before my birthday I had a few people round before heading in to town and it was super cute. We ate cake, we listened to music, we talked, we played Cards Against Humanity and it was awesome. Then we headed to the famous Club I here in Falmouth before calling it a night. On my actual birthday my flatmate and I spent the day watching Netflix and eating junk food.
Here are a few pictures from the night.
Enjoy.

NAKED 2 PALETTE REVIEW + SMOKEY EYE HOW TO

So out of my Christmas money I thought I would treat myself to the Naked 2 palette. I thought that the colours in this specific one would suit my skin colour much more than the other two and I also have a thing for wearing dark-ish eyeshadow everyday.

Review
I love every single one of the shades and they all glide on very easily and (with a makeup setter) stay on pretty much all day/night!
In this palette, my favourite shades are Tease, Snakebite, Bootycall, and Blackout! The Blackout shade is very pigmented and only a small amount is needed to achieve a perfect smokey eye! This also means it will last a long time meaning it's worth the 38 pound I spent!
So after using this palette for a few times, and even having someone compliment me on my makeup one evening, I highly recommend this palette and if you are even considering investing I say stop what you're doing and go buy it!

Basic/everyday smokey eye tutorial
To achieve a simple smokey eye look that I use on a daily base with this palette, first apply a layer of the shade Tease to your whole lid. The next step is to gradually add the Busted shade to the outer lid and crease line, this will give a good base for the darker colours to be applied to! Next use Snakebite and apply it to the area you just applied the previous shade to. Depending on how dark you like the whole look to be you can either apply Blackout to this area as well (ever so lightly) or continue to the next step. To finish off you can apply winged eyeliner to the lash line and the shade Bootycall to your brow bone for a bit of highlighting.

Some Of My Winter Essentials

As the weather gets even worse and the desire to go outside gets less and less I thought I would share with you a few of my winter must haves!

A glove set - These are essential in the colder months! I got these pair for Christmas and they are from Topshop. They are quite neutral colours so they go with basically all colours. They have a string attached to you can put them through your coat like everyone used to have when they were younger! Don't want to go losing your gloves now do you! Unfortunately they no longer have these on the website anymore but I have seen a few about in some stores... they might of even gone into the sales!

Maybelline baby lips - I also got this for Christmas from my flatmate and I am in love with it! Its perfect for dry lips but I feel that if you're looking for something to heal your lips I wouldn't go for this product as I feel its only useful for hydrating the lips. I have it in the colour Pink Rose and it leaves your lips looking a bit pinky-er than usual! If you're looking for something to heal and really hydrate your lips then I would go for a pot of Vaseline in the Cocoa Butter scent!

Benefit triple performing facial emulsion -  I use this every day at least once usually before I put my makeup on or when I get out of the bath! Its the best moisturiser I have had so far! It's easy to apply and is not really oily like some of the moisturisers that I've had in the past. Would totally recommend it!

A hat! - It is way too cold to go out without a hat on these days! I love this one from Peacocks as you can even wear it when your hair is up and it also doesn't give you hat hair... no one wants hat hair!

Scary skull halloween makeup

Hey guys, so for my halloween costume this year I took inspiration from the born this way music video by lady gaga. I followed a makeup tutorial on youtube which I thought I needed to share with you as it was amazing and very easy to follow (although in some places it could of been slowed down).

To add a few details in of my own, I brought a fake piercing from Claires which was 3.50 and it fits comfortably unlike some fake piercings.
For the hair I flipped my head upside down, backcombed it, covered it in hairspray and then gathered it into a messy pony tail right on the top of my head.
Even though halloween has been and gone, this is a good tutorial for next years halloween or even just for a random fancy dress costume!

Heres a few pictures of me that I took once I had finished...
